Manal Amin is the founder and CEO of Arabize. She was born in Alexandria, Egypt and raised in Egypt. Manal's grasp and awareness of the Arabic culture & language has been a childhood passion. She was surrounded by the history and way of life that developed in her an appreciation for the culture and its heritage. Ever since she completed her B.A. in Political Science, she has been working and living out of Egypt, in Gulf region and Europe for a period of eight years, from 1984 to 1992.
Taking a proactive role in the society is a part of her personality, which is reflected in the number of associations and organizations she is a member of. Moreover she completed an advanced level Translation Diploma in the American University in Cairo (AUC). It was after settling back in Egypt for a few years that she decided to make her experience and passion work for her in one consignment. And hence came the birth of Arabize.
Localization industry was never a simple translation job as others wrongly believed.
It was Manal's vocation to train and culture the suitable linguists for the appropriate job since she started. She progressed in training the linguists along with using the right tools to be able to set the right standards and working criterion from which it would be fitting to grow on.
Her experience and dedication for her job always taught her that to attempt any task in a job one has to attempt it the right way, all the way, to expect any return out of it. As simple and logical as that may sound, it is aiming for excellence. As Winston Churchill is quoted to say: "I am easily satisfied with the very best". Churchill's quote would best describe Manal's occupational mind-set. |
