About Localization

Localization involves translating web sites, software, documentation, etc into target audience's language. It is also concerned with making the product's contents, style, graphics, and cultural conventions - such as currencies, dates, units of measurement…etc. appropriate to the country and language where it will be used and sold.

In other words, Localization is the amount of translation and customization to be done on a program to create different language edition to run in a particular locale or country. All text is to be displayed in the native language, and native conventions are used for sorting, formatting, …etc. For example, a word processor might require adding a new spell checker that recognizes words in the local language.
The goal of localization is to create a document that looks and feels as though it was created in the target country or market.

Thus, localization includes:
- Translating the user interface software strings
- Rearranging the UI components to preserve the original look and feel after translation
- Resizing dialog boxes to suite the size of the translated text
- Customizing features
- Customizing the formats (such as date/time, paper size, etc.)
- Testing the localized edition to ensure that the program works as expected…etc.

Arabize Localization Services

Software localization is not only translation of user interface or documentation, it is much more difficult and interesting process including not only translation but also engineering. That is why our Arabic and Farsi Localization services can be divided into two main parts:

But Why is it Important to have your Product Localized?

Many don't realize the importance of localization but this helps generate customer loyalty and repeat visits to sites or use of software programs.

Localization is a very important activity for every organization. As business becomes global, you can no longer produce software products for only one market, even if this market is very large. English is simply not enough, since the many of the world’s population cannot read or understand English-language materials. Your product should be addressed to larger societies and cultures.

Your organization should have a head for localization, to become a global company. Or else, your competitors will go global, making larger sales, and outperforming you. So you should think about localization very seriously.
