  Translation Arabic Engineering

Arabize Localization Services>Engineering

Localization engineering is very related to language. However, It is much related to building products. Localization engineering basically is breaking up the development environment of a product and putting it together again after all the text has been translated. Actually, localization engineering is one of the main differences between localization and translation. It is all that “technical stuff” that needs to happen when a software user interface is translated, or an online help file, or even an HTML file.

Dealing with Arabic and Farsi as Right-to-Left Languages
Arabize engineering team are able to work with the unique complexities of Right to Left language localization engineering. Unlike English and other European languages, Arabic and Farsi are right-to-left (RTL) languages. That is to say that their writing starts from the right-hand side and concludes to the left-hand side. This is different from the left-to-right (LTR) direction in which languages using Latin alphabets (such as English) are written.

In Each phase, Arabize engineering specialists ensure that all the localized components of a product are correctly compiled. They flip the user interface for the Arabic and Farsi version of the product to have all the menus displayed from right to left. When RTL text is mixed with LTR text in the same paragraph, they make sure that each type of text is written and displayed in the correct direction.

Project Phases for Arabize localization Engineers
For Arabize localization engineers, the project flow includes:
- Project Preparation: It is the localization engineer’s responsibility to prepare translatable files for
translation. They conduct basic analysis and technical operations on the files to get it ready for the
translators to start their translation work.

- Building & Compiling: Once the translated files are returned after translation, the localization engineer can start building the localized
product. Compiling an Arabic or Farsi copy of the build environment includes changing various language settings and code page
configurations, resizing dialog boxes and moving fields, and testing the localized versions.

- Supporting Translators: This support could be anything from answering questions on the concept behind certain technical terms used in
the software application to providing assistance with the tools the translators use.
